Die in Paris lebende, australische Tänzerin Rosalind Crisp und x-group, eine seit 2003 bestehende Vereinigung von acht TänzerInnen, begegneten sich zum ersten Mal 2010 im Tanzhaus Zürich. Diesem Zusammentreffen folgten weitere „exchange days“, deren momentanes Ergebnis nun erstmals öffentlich in den Bühnenraum führt. Tänzerische Sprachen treten zueinander in Beziehung, um sich improvisatorisch kontinuierlich zu transformieren. Die Zuschauer sind Zeugen der momentanten Kreation von Bewegung, von Solos und deren Komposition als Gesamtbild.
x-group widmete sich in den letzten Monaten der Thematik Solo-Improvisation, auch im Hinblick auf die Individualität des Performers, die wiederum einen Effekt auf die Präsenz und Kraft des Gesamtbildes und  des Dialogs hat. In der Arbeit immer zentral sind Auseinandersetzungen mit Technik im Sinne der physikalischen, sensorischen und erfahrbaren Mechanik der Dinge und mit Komposition, also wie Material zusammen lebt, wie etwas mehr zu erzählen beginnt, als nur die Summe seiner Teile.
„d a n s e  is a modality of work that  Rosalind Crisp has been developing since 2005. It is about a way of working with the body and an ensemble of unstable principles which guide the production of movement by the dancer. These principles are continually transforming, constituting a language that is both rigorously identifiable and constantly mutating.
d a n s e  is not a piece but a world in constant evolution. This process of work is the basis from which pieces or performances crystallise, reflecting different moments or facets of the process, and which we term ’sites’. Each piece or performance is born of the confrontation between the practice of  d a n s e , other artists, a particular space, or a specific question. Each of these meetings carves a new direction for the work, giving the particular form and substance to each site ….“ (Isabelle Ginot, dance researcher )
